The City of Sallisaw Building Development Department is responsible for the enforcement of all city building codes, zoning, licensing and nuisance codes.  Also, if you have an item you would like to present the Planning Commission or the Board of Adjustment, the department will be your first contact for the required paperwork. If you are planning a construction job within the City of Sallisaw, please check with the Code Enforcement Department for any permits that may be needed.  The City now requires a plan review period before building permits are issued.
